The weekly payout
One payout run covers everyone, on Friday at 10:00 in Sydney. The app shows the date in your own time zone, so in some countries it falls on a Thursday. Card payments take a few business days to clear before they can be paid out, so a tip that arrives on a Thursday may wait for the following week.
Minimum balance
A payout is made when your balance is at least about A$25, or the same amount in your currency. A smaller balance rolls over to the next week. Anything held for 90 days is paid out whatever the amount.
Instant payouts
An instant payout sends your balance when you ask, instead of waiting for Friday. It costs 2% of the amount plus a small fixed fee (for example $0.25 in US dollars, A$0.25, €0.25 or £0.25). It is available from 14 days after you join, needs at least the weekly minimum, and cannot be cancelled once sent. How fast it lands depends on your bank.
Instant payouts are not available in Bulgaria, Gibraltar, Japan, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Slovakia, Sweden or Switzerland; the weekly payout still is.
