Many cities restrict amplifiers

The rules of 64 of the 173 cities ban or restrict amplifiers, either everywhere or in their busiest areas. Acoustic acts face fewer hurdles in most places.

Some cities limit collecting money

In 18 cities the rules restrict asking for or collecting money, for example a ban on actively collecting while a hat or open case is allowed: Baltimore, Bangkok, Bendigo, Bern, Bruges, Charleston, Copenhagen, Genoa, Ghent, Gothenburg, Graz, Lucerne, Nuremberg, Rome, Salzburg, Stockholm, Strasbourg, Zurich. In those cities a tip sign can count as collecting, so read the city rules first.
