Downloading and using TipIns is free. A 10% platform fee plus a small payment processing fee applies to each tip. When the sender covers the fees, which is the default, you receive the full tip. Senders can opt out, in which case the fees come out of the tip.
Payouts run once a week and are free. Balances of A$25 or more are paid automatically to your bank account, and anything smaller rolls over to the following week. If you do not want to wait, you can request an instant payout of your available balance at any time for a fee of 2% plus a small fixed amount (A$0.25, or 0.25 in your currency), shown before you confirm.
Yes. A group has its own QR code and tip link. Tips are split automatically between members, equally or by the percentages the owner sets, and each person’s share is paid into their own account.
Owners and admins can turn on active shifts for an equal-split group. Staff start a shift when they come on, for a set number of hours or until a set time, and each tip is shared between whoever is on shift at the moment it arrives. If nobody is on shift, the tip is shared between all members.
Payments and recipient onboarding are handled securely through Stripe. TipIns does not store full card or bank account details.
